  The meal and dessert won us over and pushed all the original bad experience to the back of our minds. What amazing execution and menu options! Everything on that menu is delicious and perfectly balanced. At this point in our trip, we have had a lot of potato and more potato so it was a welcome change to have our dishes (seafood especially) served with rice, vegetable and a salad. The dessert menu was full of tempting things too! The deep-fried ice cream with a wild berry (bake apple or partridge berry) is just heavenly. We did also try their partridge berry pie with ice cream but the deep-fried ice cream is the best!

  Make reservations. Highly recommended eatery if you can do it because they’ll have you “hooked” and you’ll want to return!

  Another top eatery during our trip around the island and mainland; so much so that we went twice! It’s not difficult to find but reservations are recommended. Our first visit there was less than stellar. We were wet and cold from the rain and were left standing at the front for what seemed like eons while the single server was ignoring us and tending to other things before getting us seated first. In my opinion, he should have seated us and just left us with the menus as I would have been less cranky if I had at least the hope of someone taking my order at some point than standing like unwelcome guests, at the door. When we were seated, the table was dirty and nobody came by again, for an extended period. By then, I was getting rather cranky and ready to get up and leave. The frazzled server finally came by and apologized and then the rest of the evening was just fine. But what a horrible first impression!

  This is a perfect way to grab food if you are going to L'Anse Meadows. The mussels were the best I've ever had and the lobster was delicious. All fresh local food. Prices were very reasonable too. Our server was really great too.

  Nice mom and pop seafood restaurant. I ordered a large seafood platter and everything out of was good. My friend had the lobster and it was also good if only medium in size. It was near the end of the season for lobster anyway. The muscles appetizer was good and the sauce it came in was tasty.

  Staff had local music playing, and we're very quick to tell us who was playing, and where to go to see love mucus while in town.
