  Squeaky clean, well appointed 2 bedroom efficiency cabin perfect for a family. Close to L'Anse aux Meadows and St Lunaire-Griquet and its picturesque iceberg studded views

  Well appointed, comfy & clean 2 bedroom cabin (you can also request a twin size fold up bed if you need extra space) that has satellite flat-screen TV, microwave, coffee, tea, full stove and kitchen dishes, cooking pots and bbq etc., so you can choose to save some money and stay in for supper. You can also do your own laundry or pay $5.00 and they will do it for you. The front office has a tuck shop as well. There are convenience stores nearby or if you need more groceries, St. Anthony is about a 20 min. drive. But if you want a great meal, Northern Delight Restaurant is a few minutes north and L'Anse Aux Meadows is 15 minutes away. Overall, Southwest Pond Cabins is well placed if you want to explore the north-west part of Newfoundland. This was my second time staying here and hopefully, I'll be able to return and explore some more.

  The cabins are nice but there is absolutely NO housekeeping at all. During my 6 night stay NO ONE came by asking if I required clean towels, removed garbage or any type of housekeeping. When I enquired as to pick up of my dirty towels I was told to leave them out by the door and someone would be by to get them eventually. I even had to ask for extra toilet tissue. The laundry facilities are only available from the hours of 4 pm to 9pm so if your not available to do your laundry during those hours too bad it won't get done. Of all the places I've stayed on my travels this one was the least guest friendly.

  Well equipped kitchen included everything we needed (even had a drip coffee maker w/ coffee and an electric can opener). Cabin came with our own barbecue as well. Flat screen TV and satellite. Furniture and decor was outdated. Overall very cozy.
